Road Trip

We packed up and took the babies out of state for the first time. We went to Tennessee to visit their great aunt Betty in Pigon Forge. The trip down and back actually wasn’t that painful. One blowout, a little puke and a couple hours of crying were the worst of it. The grass was green, the temp was in the 60’s and the view from our cabin was amazing. The kids took their first ride on a carousel and enjoyed lots of long walks. It was a very enjoyable break from norm; we are hoping to go back again in the near future.

It’s been a crazy week …

Danika started the week off with a cold and by Saturday she had passed it on to Sean. Sean always seems to get bugs 10 times worse than the others. His temperature hit 104.3 Saturday night. I was ready to go straight into the emergency room, but the on call nurse calmed me down. Apparently 105 is the emergency room green light number. That seems really high to me, but what do I know?! ;)
The weather was awesome on Friday and we took full advantage of it! We went on three walks and hit the park by our house twice. The kids are all big fans of the slide. Sean and Bren like the swing too, but Danika wasn’t really sure what to think of it. Hopefully it will warm back up again soon!

We let them all out of the house!

The kids had an exciting weekend. Friday we loaded up and took them to the mall, they love shopping (wonder where they get that from???). Saturday they went to Rylan’s 4th birthday party at the Teddy’s house. They dove right into Rylan’s toy room finding everything they could get in their mouths at lightening speed. Rylan had a great party, but was getting slightly frustrated by little ones being around him all the time. He took his new rubber snake and kept putting it in Danika’s face and said “why isn’t she scared, why isn’t this scaring her away?!?.” They spent some quality time with their buddy Cameron too, he started crawling this weekend!
Danika is now into spreading the love, she smooches on her brothers. Sean and Bren don't know what to think of her. They try to escape, but she usually wins taking them to the ground with her tackle hug.

When will spring be here????

This week Brendan was the only one that left the house! It was such a cold, dreary week. Brendan went out Friday for his 1st official hair cut (Marge actually already cut his hair 2 times). He didn’t like the cape at all, but after he tore that off he didn’t mind the hair salon at all. He looks like a different boy! Brendan also had to get his blood drawn this week. Mike took him to the lab, I tried last week and was unsuccessful. It seems that Brendan hates getting his blood drawn just as much as I do ;)

Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Lori came and spent the day with us on Friday. The kids jumped at the opportunity to show off their walking skills and were rewarded with cheers J Grandma and Grandpa Henry came and spent Saturday evening with the kids while we went out, they even gave the kids a bath (wooo whooo!).

Today we celebrated Uncle Keith's 29th Birthday. Grandma, Grandpa, GG, Nikki and Uncle Keith came over. The kids enjoyed all the snacks and tasty lasagna. Brendan's favorite part was the cherry cheese cake! Grandpa couldn't get the fork to his mouth quick enough. He cried when it was gone :(

It was a BIG day for another reason too. Brendan joined his brother and sister and started walking. He was inspired by a ball that mom was holding.

Danika has become such a chatter box! What she is saying only she knows, but it's funny listening to her. The one thing she says constantly is Daddy, Daddy, Daddy - it is pretty cute.

We can't forget to mention Sean. He is growing like crazy! Last week we took him to the allergist and he weighed 23 1/2 pounds. His stomach seems to be a bottomless pit. He doesn't turn down food - EVER.
